The 21st Century Themes and Skills are intended to be infused throughout instruction in all subject areas.

Many of the public school educators will be familiar with this framework.

This document was created by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and aligned with the 2005 Standard Course of Study.
While the connections are still valid, the document has not yet been re-aligned with the new NC Essential Standards for Arts Education.
